Job Description

As a Taproom Associate, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the taproom at Trinken Brewing Co. Your role will focus on delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining a welcoming and engaging atmosphere, and assisting in creating a memorable experience for patrons. This position does not include supervisory responsibilities and is ideal for someone passionate about craft beer, teamwork, and hospitality.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Customer Service & Taproom Operations

  • Greet and engage patrons in a friendly, professional, and knowledgeable manner.

  • Serve beer and other beverages in compliance with legal standards, ensuring proper age verification and responsible serving practices.

  • Answer customer questions about Trinken Brewing Co.’s history, beers, and brand values.

  • Assist with the cleanliness and upkeep of the taproom to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.

Event Support & Engagement

  • Support taproom events, such as trivia nights, live music, and private bookings, by setting up, assisting during the event, and ensuring smooth operations.

  • Contribute ideas to enhance the taproom’s event offerings and customer engagement activities.

Inventory & Facility Assistance

  • Restock merchandise, glassware, and supplies as needed.

  • Assist in tracking and rotating inventory to maintain the highest product quality.

  • Notify the Owner of any inventory needs or maintenance issues.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Owner and team to ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

  • Contribute to team goals by fostering a positive and cooperative work environment.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Passion for craft beer and interest in learning about brewing and beer styles.

Skills & Experience

  • Customer Service: Proven ability to deliver friendly, professional, and attentive service in a customer-facing role.

  • Hospitality Expertise: Understanding of hospitality best practices and commitment to creating a welcoming, enjoyable environment for guests.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and engage with diverse groups of people.

  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.

  • Previous experience in food and beverage service, retail, or other customer service roles is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts.

  • Capability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs. and assist with moving kegs up to 175 lbs. using appropriate tools or teamwork.

Working Conditions

This position involves working in a fast-paced environment that may include weekends, evenings, and holidays. The taproom is located within an operating brewery, where you may encounter moderate noise, odors, and proximity to heavy equipment.
